I had a half pipe in my back yard that would compare to big ones even these days back in 1983 keep in mind i was born in 75. when I was 8-13 years old i competed all over in skateboard contests.. I had family that lived next door to mike magill when I was young so I had a really early start...my half pipe was 24' wide 16' flat 10' transisions 12' tall on each side so 2' of vert then had a few tombstones 2' 4' 6' for more vert.
when i was 10 I could get around 6-7 feet of air. i will go to my moms house some time and dig out some old pics of us on my halfpipe...
