Mercury Engine Color Choices

So sometimes you see a boat and the Mercury motors will be color matched to the boat, and then sometimes they are just stock blue. What's the deal with this? Will Mercury paint the motors any color you want and some just opt for the standard blue or do they arrive at the builder and are completely stripped and painted to match? A couple examples are the black 700s in the Step 7 39 Cig and I believe the Split Decision Baja had custom colored 700s also.

They have a couple colour choices, Black, blue, green and orange I think?

Yeah my dad said they have a few color choices... he thought there were 5 to choose from.

Its about a thousand dollar option per engine (not sure if msrp or cost). There is a colour chart at mercury racing.com
I wanted it for my 2010 eliminator daytona 525 efi's but decided not to do it. Blue motors are pretty good eye candy.
