Ok, this is not to start a thing about, wether or not the Fountains are the correct length. As in a beak-and-swimplatform descussion. I like Fountains..

But if you are looking for a maximum of 30', have you looked at a 32 fever? I haven't measured any and not been around alot of them, but just a thought.

Kind of doubt it, my boat with 502's and 25p props runs 76 at 5200rpm around 7% slip

If you Don't mine saying what hp are you putting out. Do you think the hull with the single would run 100+ with 1000+ hp and handle

My Opinion, no on both counts! Go find a later model with steps like the others recommended if you need 85+ mph in a real 29-35 foot hull with twin big blocks of necessary horsepower.

If it helps I run 69 fresh, 71 salt gps in an 1988 27/29 Fever with 1.5 bravos and stock 454/330's whether I run 25 mirage or 27 mirage plus is only about 300 rpm diff but same top speed. 27s run about 42-4300 rpm

Don't mid 90's fountains run a 1.32 ratio? Could that explain the 25p at 85mph?

If you want, come on up some weekend and you can run either one. You can see the difference.

I had a 97 with 454's and ran 78 as well. I really enjoyed that boat but it was a hand full.
