Anchoring my Anchor...PITA !!

Need a method to store my anchor inside the boat. Would like it out of the way and secured good so it doesnt bounce around an scratch anything. Its a regular style anchor with a 2 ft. chain hooked to it. Tired of this SOB, its big , awkward, heavy and just a pain in the azz! Any easy access mounting ideas?

2 foot chain, what size boat do you have?
I think I have 6ft chain and that is to small, but if it works for ya.

I pulled the chain off of mine, I only use the ancor when rafting up, and found it hooks up good enough (maby needing sightly more scope)

I was on a buddies 42 sonic and he built a bracket in the engine compartment just behind the seat starboard side that the anchor slipped into on its side. it had alignment pots and straps to hold it in place. He would pull the chain off the D ring and drop that into the storage bin. I thought it was a great clean setup, but it takes space in the engine compartment. Now granted he didnt spend much time working in there (nice shiny 675hp belt driven), I on the other hand have been down in my engine compartment all the time.

I dont want to ugly-up the engine compartment, but that seens to be the best spot to mount it????? TXHAWK (last owner)is gonna kill me!

Get a box anchor, folds up almost flat and comes with a bag to put it in

Perfect Idea take 30 with you since he never road in a real boat stick it in his anal brown eye and when you toss the anchor let him go with it. Im sure he could swallow the chain and rope in one shot (one money shot)
