Ok everybody back to your corners.
Why does every thread lately turn into this ridiculous pissing match about Cig VS NT?
For the record many Cig owners have moved over here.
They've bought both cats and V's. Not bragging just stating facts.
The cat purchase is obvious but why would they want our V over theirs? Because they are bigger, have more room and we put more features into them that some people actually want on their boats.. Cig does an awesome job on the fit and finish and have sold quite a few boats over the years. They are the defacto icon of classic high performance V bottoms.
Of course a skinnier no frills lighter boat is going to be faster but we give you something different. Might not be your bag but thankfully it is for others.
As for speed facts.
43V with all the options. Twin 700's 92-93 MPH
850's 102.
Now can we get back to making fun of my average height?

I know a guy with a 43 triple 700 Nor-Tech with a bow thurster that runs right around 112. Its a much bigger boat than a 42X.

Yah, but he doesn't look as good as a 42X. Seriously, the 43 is NT's best looking V.

Because a certain NT cheerleader won't stop the Cig bashing in every forum at every opportunity. For example read post #1 and #32 here..

http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/g...er-57-a-2.html

Personally I'm sick of it too.

And as I've said before I would absolutely consider owning a NT; they are fine boats; as are Cig's and others; different boats for different folks. But I certainley wouldn't be "shocked" to see one brand choosen over another.

Tommy, Ive come to the realization that you are overly sensative... and if your sick of it dont comment, plain and simple..you don't have to get the last word in..who the hell cares which boat is better..it will never be solved on a forum.

BTW.. I liked my ...what did you call it...turd bird with cup holders more pics...getting the tread back on track
