Even not being from NH, I will support any effort to make the Lake the way it was which is long gone. I remember fondly, friends and I, taking our speedboats there to enjoy the races(now gone) spending money on food, lodging and what not to enjoy the beautiful area. When noise restrictions came I abliged by purchasing expensive noise ruduction equipment. Then a speed limit? Der! as my girl says," lets go to the Vineyard." I recently (last summer) stopped for lunch at one of my favorite spots on a hot day. Was dead dead dead. what a shame. Yes, I'll sign any petition.

Went on and signed. Good luck.

Another today:
Thank you for contacting me about boat speed limits on Lake Winnipesaukee. As you may be aware, I co-sponsored and supported the legislation last year that implemented those limits. While I understand that you don't support that legislation, I respectfully continue to believe that a speed limit on Lake Winnipesaukee is appropriate. Thank you for contacting me, and feel free to do so on this or any other issue. Sincerely, Jeb Bradley Senate District 3 |

I love this,
http://www.citizen.com/apps/pbcs.dll...874/-1/CITNEWS The issue is near and dear to Forrester who recounted that, some 30 years ago, on a Labor Day weekend, she nearly lost her mother and brother as a result of a boating crash caused by excessive speed. The boat in which her family was traveling struck a breakwater and her mother was thrown into a cabin door and ended up in a coma. Her brother suffered a ruptured spleen when he was thrown through a window. She and her father received broken ribs. So they are driving a boat recklessly (at least not knowing where they were going), wreck it and then want everyone to go slow due to their stupidity. Hummmmmmm |
If you think about it... most laws on the books today, are do to a couple stupid asses messing it up for everyone! IMHO!!:coolcowboy:
