Drool??
I had more damage from drunk cigarette smokers burning my seats and leaving nasty beer bottles with butts in them and beer caps laying around than our dog ever did with a little ball of hair. Anyway, we run so fast any hair in our boat blows out. I was weird about the claws thing, but we have not had a nick ever. No drool either!

No, he is a weimaraner. He is the blue variety. Sitting right under me right now. He is really good with people...almost to friendly whenever we are at the dock he wants to greet everybody!!! Since he is a big dog many people are a little skittish but once they get to know him, more people say Hi to him than me.

We used to take our lab boating all the time when we had an open bow boat a long time ago. She loved it. Never had a problem with her being on the vinyl and no damage. She really didn't like going much when we got bigger closed bow boats though.

Labs will love the boat. Have had three and all of them knew exactly what you ment when you said boat ride. One laid back, two very hyper with no fear. Laid back easy, no fear would go anywhere and do anything, hardest part was if they stayed on the boat at a raft up, tens minutes later I would see my youngest lab ten boats down walking across the backs of boats. Never caused any damage but hair is everywhere. Had one that would get on the swim platform and hike his leg to the water, It was the coolest thing ever - never had to worry with him using it in the boat.

Thanks for all the replies and stories. I have a feeling we'll be filling out adoption papers this weekend
If all works out, I'll post pics of her.
