Can you guys tell the rest of us what happened to the Challenger? Inquiring minds would like to know. Thanks Dwight

Whitey,
Challenger is currently building us a new boat. We hope to have it finished for Cape Cod although it will be tight. As far as the boat goes, we really like it. In Daytona we got a really bad start (Thanks Craig) but by the first turn we were 1st in class and second overall. We are not sure what we hit, but we have it on video that we hit something before the start. So we were already taking on water by the first turn. Rounding the turn on the back section of the course, we started to slow down (something to do with an extra 10,000 gallons of water in the hull). When we slowed down the APBA pace boat came over to us and told us that they could see a big hole and that we were difinately sinking... So we pulled off the course and tryed to make it back to the docks (10 miles). Well we did make it but, at the cost of a motor, all electronics, and most of the hull.
Challenger has been great, they are building our new boat and we are also possibly looking at running a second boat in SVL.
Take care and "Team Deranged" we'll be back soon.

Ben

Ben,
ok, You buy the first round, I'll buy the next.
Better yet, we'll both buy George Jr. a couple since he missed all the fun.
As for racing... Dude, I'll race with you, for you, or against you any time. THAT was a blast!
Super V Light eh??? Sweet! We'd love to see the class grow. Besides, we need the extra boats in the class to help us catch up on the points. ;)
On another note, You Outlaw A, P, and Factory class guys should check out the SRP racing vest Ben wears. A WHOLE lot less cumbersome and more comfortable than the Lifeline vest I wear.
By the way Ben, Do you sell any GPS's? :p
