online charting sites

I'm planing my vacation for this summer. I want to go from Toledo Oh to the Georgan Bay to Macinaw Island, and I'm looking for some online navigational info to at least get me started in the right direction (something kinda' like Mapquest for boats). Anybody know of any good sites like that?

I haven't came across any site that would be detailed enough to use for navigational purposes. They all want you to buy there chart books or sof ware for a pc.
Here is a link to a site that shows the outline of the lakes and if you click on the areas it gives you a list of marinas and other information pertaining to that area.
If you look around you will see books available for purchase.

Thanks for the lead.
That site also included aerial photos of the area of interest. I copied this photo from that site and it is where we are constructing a marina on the Indian River. On the north side is Hacienda del Oro modular home park and on the south side is Boston Whaler. We are not going to have slips etc. on the intra-coastal but are digging a free formed lagoon inside the property where we will have slips, dry storage, restaurant and more.
We plan on opening right after the first of the year.:)

Thanks Puder and Baja Daze

I should have spent a little more time looking around the site for the navigation page.
This is great.
Thanks,
Cordell

Cordell,
Great! It takes a while, but I know what you mean. Getting from the main page to the stuff you really want is a PITA!
Good stuff!

Gdfatha,
That looks like an incredible set-up. Good safe and sheltered, dockage. Best of Luck...Any problems with the enviros yet?

 :D ;)

Madcow - A couple of things. First, Mackinac Island is one of the more popular marinas. You can make a reservation there on the state of Michigan DNR web site. No, I don't know the address. This is a VERY bumpy marina, because of all the wakes from the ferry boats. Unless you have a strong stomach, you might want to consider staying in a hotel. The Island house is right accros the street. Also worth a night is Mackinaw City, which has a very nice marina.
Second, get the chartbook for Lake Huron. Especially if you're planning to go into Georgian Bay. Beautiful, but you need to pay attention to where you're going. Do you have a chartplotter?

Yes I have a plotter, and I plan on getting the charts. Right now I'm just trying to figure out how far apart all this stuff is so Ifigure how long I'll be gone, and how much gas I'll use.
