Don't know, but most successful have a spring in the vertical post portion of the hitch. Really takes that pounding out whem you hit a bump.

If your looking for the bolt on coversion, i'd stay away from them. A good friend of mine put one on a trailer for a 38' Powerquest. Running down to FL he way getting on the highway and took a compound turn to get on the on ramp. (The truck wasdipped one way and the trailer way tilting the other) anyway it tweaked the goose neck conversion and the trailer was dog-tracking bad. No matter how much he tried to compensate with the adjusting bars he couldnt straighten it out. He ended up ditching the whole assembly on the side of the road somewhere in GA cloe to the on ramp.

If he realy wants a gooseneck trailer i'd have it welded on by someone who knows what they are doing!

If I had nice trailer like a Myco I would send it to them to change it, Or a top fab shop not some JC Whitney bolt on deal.

The thread I remember with a link I thought it looked like junk but there may have been more than one.

I have a 5th wheel hitch in my dually and prefer it over the tag. 16,000 compared to 5000 and the new boat / trailer is 15000.
MYCO has a plate at the front where the coupling is fastened. This plate could support a saddle type bracket with gussets like the one on a gooseneck. I will buy the 5th wheel PIN assembly and bolt it to the frame extension. I just thought if there was a kit, I would like to see it.

I wonder why a detachable gooseneck frame wasnt designed so that you could choose between pintle or gooseneck. It could even be a hinged assembly for short storage spots.
