Sounds like you want to upgrade the complete dash unit (fiberglass) and the panels? IMO the newer panel is not that much better than the older one. You even loose the drivers cupholder on the newer dash. Anyway it is going to be impossible to change, because the molds for both consoles are buried in the local landfill in Bucyrus OH. Sorry!
The 96' thru 01' had the older dash, and the 02' thru 05' had the newer dash.
Contact me anytime if there is any canvas, or interior work you need done.

I had a '99 and always thought the older style was laid out much better (all switches right in front of you). Newer ones--No cup holder???? It's worse than Reggie putting in cup holders that can't handle coozies!!!

Funny thing is that the 302 refresh was done by an ex-boss of mine at Baja.
I did like the added motorlid headrests that my partner Lane Carlisle made, but the newer cabin layout seemed a little lopsided, with everything on the port side.
When my ex-boss asked me what I thought of the new dash....I said where are you putting the cupholder? I will never forget that blank look on his face from that day!

Should be very easy. I upgraded my fastech last year. You can use same panel and get it powder coated or new pattern if you please. New gauges and sterring wheel and your done. for everything was about 800-1000. and that included a 400 sterring wheel. good luck

Thanks guys for your good info I guess since the molds are trashed I will look at getting my original dash panel sand blasted and redesigned with a custom look. Any good info or pics of someone who is good at this let me know. And thanks again.
