Any Other "Little Boat" Offshore Guy's Here???
#31
Ok so my little tunnel obviously isn't an offshore boat. I was just having fun.
My other boat is a 23 Fountain center console (25'8" LOA with the beak) and although it isn't particularly fast, it does goes much further offshore on a regular basis than any "offshore" boats I know of. We typically run from 30-65 miles out on a typical day.
For a smaller boat, she runs pretty good in snotty water.

Not taking anything away from the larger offshore boats, because they are amazing. But, small boats had their place. Here is the article on our boat (it was the test boat for the Boating News article in 1966 and my dad bought it right afterwords). They sure thought these boats were the start of something great.
