Default what type of marine battery??

Bought a 90 powerquest 290 enticer last winter and wanted to fill everyone out about marine batteries. The previous owner just installed brand new autozone marine batteries, two cranking and on house battery. Im not a big fan of autozone...anything. I used to use stoway marine batteries in my previous boat (24' baja) but don't know where to get them now. Any suggestions on good marine batteries??? I know there is really only like 3 makers of all batteries. Whats everyones take on this subject??? Don't need the best, dont want the worst!!

Question

stowaway? Stowaway batteries are at Tractor supply. Sam's club has a great Interstate RV/Marine battery (625 or 675cca)for I believe $75 or $79, 210 min reserve. Sears has great batteries, but expensive. I was told buy cheap and replace in pairs every other year. Batteries take such a shock abuse on the boat. IMO

I like the AGM battery technology a lot.

This chemistry has many advantages over wet cell/ lead acids like interstates which I like as well and have on my toyhauler, .....but I dont like them as much as the AGM types.

Take a look at the odyssey line.

I have 2-2150's on my rig.

lifeline is another agm manufacturer

Just bought 4 new marine Interstate batteries - 2 cranking, 2 deep cycle for stereo. Have Interstate batteries in the fishing boat too.

Agm Are Dual Purpose The Plates Are Glassed In
So They Don't Break Apart In Rough Water
