Project/Restoration Update: 1990 Fountain 33’
This is the first installment in what will be, at the very least, a weekly department on high-performance boat upgrades and restorations, http://speedonthewater.com/component...n-33-lightning. The department will feature the full gamut of projects and restorations, from simple to complex and inexpensive to exorbitant.
Hope you find it engaging.

From an investment and value standpoint you are right. But while I haven't priced used 33-footers with twin 500-hp engines, I do have a decent working knowledge of what new ones cost. And it's a whole lot more than $75,000.

Been there, and done that. And hows the saying go, ya got to do it once, and thats plenty enough!! It's noice to see someone do a story on something like this, many people have no CLUE on how much time, effort, rigging, and $MONEY$ go into something like this. Good job Matt I will be following this.

I've got to say that "$75,000 in his twin-engine 330-footer" is one hell of a deal! A bit steep for a Fountain though.
