Hey catmando,
Maximus informed me that his 36 Spectre goes about 110. I talked to him quite a few times because i think that is the model I am going to buy, he didnt say anything about a lighter layup on his though. But like you, I am still curious how these two boats are so darn fast with that power. Also according to Skaters website the 36 pleasure will run 94-101 and the 36 Race/Pleasure will run 100-105 with 500efi's |
My 36 Skater race/pleasure will run 110+ with APBA sealed HP500 EFI's.
Trying to find another 5 mph so we can break the KILO. Also this is with Dry sump 6's, my bravo 36 pleasure went over 115 mph, with HP500 carb motors, also APBA sealed. Curtis |
Very good idea, I was in the Sarasota Poker Run and got plenty of pics of it sitting there and also cruiseing about 80 or so. Thing is I cant swing that payment with the new house. So I am saving a very hefty deposit and will buy in the fall sometime. If it isnt sold then and I dont find a better deal(which i prob wont). It will most likely be mine.

Hi, Actually it's not a light lay up. It weighs in at 7500lbs. on the nose. Larry Goldman of Xtreme marine rigged it and he got it just right. He also races a full canopy 35' Motion and rigs almost every one built. He got the x dimensions perfect. The weight is distributed perfect. Every picture I have the boat is flying straight as an arrow. I have had a lot of fasst boats but none have ever handled like this. On many of the 35' Motions the fuel tanks are further foward then mine. I think that's why mine is so fast.

Curtis,
How much over 115 did you get. You never did tell me. How much did you gain without the back seat and the race hatch. I haven't tried that yet. I didn't want to scratch up the cowling after it got painted. Thanks JB |
We were clocked on a radar gun by "APBA" in NC at the kilos at 118. That was at the end of the run, we went in crooked, so I had to open it up to get a combined speed of 113.
Im not sure how much taking the backseat out helps or the hatch, when we did that change, we also did about 4 others. Not a good way to test, but we were running out of time. Just as a note, your boat handles better than my 6 boat, Im still working on the balance. Curtis |
Curtis,
Good to hear from you. I still have one of the motors left. Do you know of anyone who might be interested? Thanks, John |
