Boats Before the BEAK. For years I have discussed this and everyone says im crazy, They Say Fountians have always had beaks.... Please send me a photo of the boats. Those early fountians were really built by excaliber had turbo motors. I think I remember the adds promised 86mph. Most race boats were not mutch faster at that time. The name Bill Farmer comes to mine

Funny World, I raced Dirt Bikes 60s-70s, TT, Desert, MX. In the early 70s a guy came out to the Desert and never raced but did say he Raced Boats Offshore, We talked some about boats. Larry Smith (Scarab) who Years later I worked for. Now Excaliber was the first Fountians and looks like wellcraft will now replace A lot of Scarabs and have with Excalibers. OH WELL. Mike J. |

Puder: YES I raced 2 Mint
400 and 2 Stardust 711s. 1 400&711 on a Greeves With springer front end. and next year both in a Mayers Manx Dune Buggy. Barstow to Vegas for 14 stright years. Baja 1000 2 times. OH I still have the Colors Joe Namath (HEADS MC CC Ryder) used in the movie with Ann Margeret. Mike J. |

you, Are you going to be at the Long Beach Offshore races this weekend???? I went and got the DARE boat and hope to have the motor in and running by the race. Coby is going to run also so look for us. Finished another boat for the Jamacian Navy Fri. but its not a Racer, Your buddy Pat W. did some work on it. Been busy with Hunny Dooos all weekend, No days off for this VET. Mike J. |
I remember seeing very early Fountins at the NY boat show back in the late 70's. They were Chris-Crafts, 33 foot I think. With Executuioner on the side and 1000 HP. They had Gale Banks turbo engines.
They modified the bottom with the pad. Still had Chris-Craft on the side too. |
