Desert Storm Shootout has been canceled for 2011 by the Coast Guard and the other agencies! Weather forecast for Sunday is the same as today and is deemed pretty reliable due to today’s indications. Awards Banquet tonight is being moved to the Nautical Conference Center and begins with cocktails at 6:30 PM, Dinner at 7:00 PM
My extreme apologies for the cancellation! A huge thank you for everyone who came and helped make this event possible.

It has been a great weekend Jim. Had lots of fun, and lots of amazing boats. You can't controll the weather.
We will be back again next year.

Im glad they're not running the shootout .... I left havasu this morning,,, very very windy, gusty conditions...glad im home.... Glad I left when I did......GOOD safety call....!!!!!

Too bad about the shootout because the fleet was epic, but regardless Desert Storm was first-rate and about as fun as it gets.
