Wrecked skater - Twin 1000 HP's in NJ
Found this on local news .com site this morning
In looking at this skater, Ill bet it was someone on this board
I hope this has a good ending but I dont think it will
http://www.nbc10.com/news/1482147/detail.html
Watch the video, the boat does not look too badly beaten up, probably a rogue wave or something.
Lanyard straps on the kills???

ACCIDENT
MY BROTHER AND I WERE CLOSE FRIENDS OF THE PEOPLE IN THIS ACCIDENT AND WOULD ASK THAT ALL COMMENTS BE KEPT AT BAY UNTIL MORE IS KNOWN ABOUT WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED.
(SADLY ENOUGH SOME OF YOU MAY HAVE MET THEM AT NJPPC'S DAVE AND BUSTER'S MEET IN APRIL) OUR THOUGHTS GO OUT TO THE FAMILY.

My deepest condolences to the family. Sadly, it seems certain there are no survivors. News accounts say that they were three brothers.
It happened in front of my house yesterday while I was sitting at the beach with my family. About a half-mile offshore. People sitting next to us saw it happen.
I looked up too late to see it actually happen. They said that the boat barrel-rolled. I went up to our deck and got out the telescope. Boat was half-submerged, bow up. Coast guard helicopter was there within minutes.
After an hour or so, a large Sea-Tow vessel hooked a rope and towed it into the inlet. I hope they do the right thing and not make a "salvage" claim. Not that that really matters at this point.
We just left our house this morning and the Coast Guard helicopters were still searching.
