Default Where can I look up "big motor" building specs ?

I have 588" blower motors that I am redoing . I have a local guy I trust to do machine work but I want to give him the specs that are right for this motor . I don't want him using the "CHILTON "manual ! WHere can i get detailed specs . I have piston cearances and mains ,but what about rod side clearances ring side clearances etc. Are there any places on line or someone That wouldn't mind me calling them to ask . I don't like to bother people that can make any money off me . Of course I may buy some parts from them if they have what I need and the price is right .

Dennis Moore should have a book out called Big Block Chevy Marine Performance (I hope I got the title right).
I have his book on SBC marine engines and it's packed with all forms of info.
Check with Amazon.com. I know it's not "free" but it's worth having in the library.
