Default Great.............

sure am glad I renewed my subscription................... If I wanted a subscription to BOATING, I would have bought one.

Come to think of it, I just got a renewal for the subscription last week!!!!! Makes you wonder why a mag that is obviously being sold (I highly doubt that this just came up in the last week) would attempt to mislead their subscribers into thinking they would be around for another subscription cycle. Sems pretty kind of dishonest to me

“Bonnier has said it will not publish Powerboat or Trailer Boats with their current existing frequency. They’re looking toward special issues and initiatives for those brands going forward."

What does that mean exactly?? Terrible news.

Is Performance Boats magazine still publishing? I haven't received an issue from them in a long time.

All of the Powerboat bashers now have what for a choice?

The high performance boating industry just lost its bible, the chronicle of its history and whatever news stand exposure remained.

A sad day...but inevitable in the big picture.

The web is great for small bits and bites. Now we'll see if it can carry a bigger task on its shoulders.......

My thought as well...

All the performance boating mags are going down one by one. Soon there will only be these websites for information, and none of them will take the place of print IMO.

Another one bites the dust. I guess I've have to take the wireless laptop to bathroom now for boat readings.....

Happens all the time. Buy the competition, then dispose of them. My company does it regularly.

This move leaves marine advertisers one less choice and therefore encourages consolidation into a single avenue.

Like it or not, PB was failing miserably of late - and it's no fault of their own, and it's certainly not the writing nor the photographic talent - but the market to support their regular printing and publication has simply eroded.

Sign of the times, I suppose.
