Motors are 575's, but there is rain water in the intakes. Very little damage to the cyl walls. Gonna tear em down, Bore them a little to clean them up and change pistons to raise compression so I can run carbs. Now I have to do some research on cams...etc. Why is it, I just built up some 454's, just installing them, and I find this boat at auction. What do they say about a hole in the water?

How are you going to dispose of that thing after you yank the blocks?

how to get rid of it?

I am a wrecking yard for Volkswagen and Audi cars, but i often do some odball items, diesel pusher motorhomes and boats. My guys will just cut it into small pieces and throw it with the trash in small pieces, eventually it will be gone. I will probably keep it for a while, quite a bit of theft recovery boats out there (stolen interior etc.) and this ones cuddy is complete and in nice shape, plus all the hyd. pumps, lines, adjustable foot rests, etc. will all be sold eventually.

Cool - wasn't trying to come off as a smart ass, just wanted to make sure you had thought of that. For someone like me that thing would be a problem to deal with after I stripped it.

That should make some very cool engines for your Super Hawaii.

Thanks Payton, I just got the 454's about ready to drop in the Super Hawaii and this one came up. Pulled the engines today and bolted on all the 575 sci accessories (looks cool) on my 454's. I am even going to use the headers from the 575's. I just bought some polished stainless marine gen 3 setups but I guess I am going to sell them now. We pulled the heads on the 575's today, they had rain water in them but it must be fresh, very minimum damage if any to the cylinder walls. They even had some Crane gold roller rockers installed. Tomorrow we should finish stripping them and send them off to the machine shop to bore them to 4.50. Doing some research on what cams and pistons I can use to extract the most power from them. I am still installing the bored 454's for now...but not for long.
