I got 3-4 mph on my 28 Nordic Heat with a 496HO. Biggest difference was up around 60 mph and beyond. Sounds much better too!

my prop is already under revving a tad so i would guess that the little extra power should rev right on. |
A friend just did a Mag to HO swap on a 288 sundsation. Said there was a significant lift in the hole shot and top end pulled stronger than before. not apples to apples because of the full HO swap but it was a part of the toolbox.

I think Dana's are the absolute best bang for the buck out there for value and HP added.
You just can't go wrong. |

x2. I had a friend put them on, he didn't see much on top end, but the mid range was VERY noticeable.

Where else can you spend the same money and gain a few mph without opening up the engine? Propeller finishing and shorter lowers are the only things I can think of.

on the fence still. i might go for it anyways. we will see how much my covers are going to cost me. having bow cover made and full encloser to give me more space for my weekend stays.
between that and buying a house not sure what im going to have left. lol |
