Default Taking Baffles out of exhaust question

I have a 38zx donzi and took her out last weekend for the first time. Its got the 500 merc carb motors and it seems a lot quieter than my baja with 454's. The donzi has bigger pipes on it as well. I almsot certain the baffles were taken out of my baja and had some internal flappers. My donzi has the rubber flaps on the end of the pipes which I really dont care for? Any suggestions? Thanks

Flappers aren't the sexiest part of a boat, but its better than reversion. I have internal flappers as well as ugly flappers for piece of mind.

Form vs function I suppose?????

Baja's exhaust sit very high out of the water, how high is your donzi's? Fiberglass swim platform? Prolly is just quieter to you in the boat but louder to the people behind it around it... My 32 is night & day being in it & out standing around it!! Just a thought...

Ya never thought about it baja had the tubular swim platform, donzi has the molded fiberglass one. I'm sure it does sound better behind the boat. Has anyone took the baffles out of their boat?
