Default Question for Board Administrator

Is it possible to have automatic emails sent to alert you that a thread you have contributed to or subscribed to has been active. I have seen this on other boards, and I think it really helps the activity of the thread. I have posted topics on this board and then I forget about them and never check to see if I got a reply.

when you reply to a message (or create a thread), there's a box on the bottom called "options", you can check off this one:

Email Notification: emails sent to you whenever someone replies. Only registered users are eligible.

Also on the bottom of the page is a "suscribe to thread" button in a light blue box. This lets you subscribe to the thread without posting.

Default Oh, OK

Thanks, on other boards, it is automatic if you are the poster. Boy I feel stupid now, I didn't even look for the subscribe button before I opened my big mouth

It used to be automatic, but some of us were getting dozens of e-mails a day. So it was changed to manual.
