Default $32,500 fine for just UPSETTING the Manatees?

I know you guys have laws down there protecting your sea-cows, but a $32,500 fine for just ruining their day?

http://blog.syracuse.com/entertainme...30000_for.html

I used to live on a river not far from where I am now. Cops nabbed a guy waking a huge wake and knocking my boat, dock and jet skis all over the place. He came over after to let me know he gave him a ticket that will cost him $50. I told the cop he couldn't buy one fender for either of our boats with only $50 He upset me, however was only fined $50

Yep,
It's a fact down here, phuck with a manatee, and get CAUGHT, and they can confiscate your boat, NO BS! It happened to a guy here in M.I. earlier this year....

Some laws are overboard, but yet they make them because people are idiots

The fine won't stick. There's no jury within 2000 mi. that would convict this "artist".

Wow, I thought the tree huggers in Washington State were bad! Florida lawmakers really love those sea cows.

They should call the manetee's to testify. While their at it they should call some squirells in to see if anybody saw who ran over alvin the chipmunk.

These kinds of laws are really pioneered by radical animal rights activist who think animals should have the same rights as humans. They want to cage up humans while the animals run free. Don't look now, one of them is an Obama advisor.
