What can be done to the sixes to beef them up??? Also did weismann build a drive that will handle more HP than a six but still use the same gimble

Still do. I don't think it uses the same gimbal, but according to Pat Weismann, the cutout is the same.

ASD8 will work with 1400s. Maybe 1850s too depending on torque numbers. If the boat already has Merc 6s the Weismann would be your best bet because the WMD will fit the holes.

Cryo the gears, then change your drive oil religiously...

Yeah ill get some up soon but the guy who's buffing it got very busy now that summer rolled around and its not buffed yet so its dull from being wetsanded.

Back to the topic, I talked to pat weismann for a long time last night and he said the boat is notched (46 Skater) so putting surface drives on it would be a problem unless we changed the bottom, etc.. also the weismann drives are 45k each and hes only put like 3 sets on pleasure boats. Most of them go on military stuff. Basically he said keep the sixes on and run it.
