    Weight sounds about right. I mounted the motor low just for safety sake, he can jack it once he gets comfortable, havent even messed with trim yet.

    A pad sure would have settled down that hull, The rounded keel makes em chine walk something fierce when the speed gets up there.
    Side to side weight placement was really sensative.

    My 78 16 lo pro came to me with a blown up 115 tower of power.
    I bought a shiny new 175 v6 merc Black Max, added 6 inches of set back and another four inches with a manual jack plate. It woud run 72 to 73 with a 26 chopper BUT, you definately had to drive the sucker.
