Well, all that seems very positive.
Hope he is telling the truth.

From walking through the factory late in March, it would appear to be very true. Everything said agrees with what was being built and rigged at that time.
Two weeks later when picking up my boat, the amount of increase in activity during that two week period was significant as well.

While embellishment to total fabrication are not uncommon in the high-performance marine industry, Mr. Walker has given me no reason to doubt him. The production numbers he cited are neither earth-shattering nor indicative of a huge tunaround in the performance-boating business, but considering what's happened in the past three years they seem to be a step in the right direction. Especially on the employment side in Washington, N.C.

Yes I agree. Funny how they chose the Fountain factory as the base of manufacturing.

Appears production favors the fishboat/C.C. market. So is the production for floor plan or sold hulls ?

Nick Miller (VP SALES) is one of the best in the business and a great friend as well. With that being said, 12 Baja's is a small "opening order" for one dealer looking back on the past 20 years. They may be busy but it's a FRACTION of what the biz used to be. Not knocking them in any way. Just puting it in perspective. Sucks.

I wish them luck and just hope that they can keep the traditions of quality intact for each of the brands rather than sell the same boat under different names at different prices.

Funny! A post goes up about a dealer doing better or good and it gets 7 responses, put one up saying its failing or going out of buisness and it goes 30 pages. Most people love to gossip about the negative but only a few have good things to say about the positive

Good point. Newsman's trick. Bad news stirs feelings of fear of loss and sparks curiosity (could that happen to me?) which spurs people to action. You sell more insurance than you do lottery tickets or stocks. This is why the mainstream news is always bad.
