if I remember correctly when I was shopping, I looked at a "Prowler" and a 31', I read somewhere that, the Sonics were built out of 3 molded pieces (hull, deck and cockpit/cabin) making them a little on the heavy side but really solid and clean build-wise.

both. the 31' Bullet has serious limits.

My boat is rack stored at Marina Del Isle. Anyone who boats on Lake Erie knows how nasty the lake gets. So my main concern would be how the boat handles the rough stuff.

If I were looking at used 31 sonic's I would be take'n a long look at this for the money.

What speeds to do you run and what power? Just curious the difference between a Sonic and a bullet. Mine's a 88 with 550 aside and runs 75. I've always thought the two boats were pretty similar. I know there both heavy for sure.

I have been in one Sonic. My experience was a little different. It was years ago at the Chcago boat show - the Looney Tunes themed Sonic. I found all of the vinyl to be randomly stapled under the seat cushions. It looked like the vinyl was trimmed off with a dull carpet knife. Compartments in the cockpit and cabin had raw exposed fiberglass everywhere. Based on that one experience I would say Sonics of that era may have a solid hull, but the one I was on had nowhere near the finish quality of a Formula.
