serial numbers gone
 
hi im new to the site here but ive got a lil problem... i have a 1990 formula 242 ls with a 7.4 carb and a bravo 1. my problem is i bought the boat out of salt water and my serial numbers on the drive and the transom are gone from the corrosion and i need to replace my gimbal ring but i need to know the correct serial numbers ??

did u get a survey on the boat if so the #s should be on there . also maybe the insurance paper work

you shouldnt really need the SN to get another ring. they are all the same except for the high perf ones that dont have the trim senders. just get one that will accept the senders and you will be good.
