Default Anyone have their boat on a railway system?

Looking for pros and cons, experience with use ect.
"Gotta have" options and tricks.
Any info at all.

Looking at a place that it seems the only option.
353 12K or under with some fuel and gear.

I don't mind the idea as the boat can be over shoreline or completely dry land in crazy weather (it's Lake Ontario).

It would seem ease of cleaning ect. as you're wading in shallow water or on land not walking around on a lift.

Thanks

I'm in the process of building a rail system for my Ski Nautique at my waterski lake. I've got a Sunstream hydraulic cantilever lift there now but the rail system will serve me better.
Boat will rail into a secure garage.
Will not have to cover when wet in the garage
Theft of parts, equipment less likely.
Easier to wipe down.
No sun fade on the sides.
No birds nests, bird dung, spider mess.
Water level fluctuation no problem.
Less vulnerability in severe weather.
Easy and quick to store gear in the garage.
Lots of advantages, I really think it's the way to go especially if you can build a garage for it.
