ep... used it in my dads AA altered till we put in a lenco air shifter 5 speed.. Now that was a handful.

Theres no reason a modern powerglide with aftermarket case, high flow pump, billet gears, 10 clutch high gear pak and direct drive couldn't last virtually forever behind a 1500 hp boat motor, one can be built today using all aftermarket new parts, no original parts!!
