Truth be told, while John said he enjoyed the experience and appreciated the opportunity (this was his second UIM Class 1 season ... in his first he won a championship with Laith Pharaon), he also expressed relief. When I caught up with him at Desert Storm in Arizona (keep in mind that he lives in Miami), he had been back from the Middle East a week and was heading back a week later. He was almost too tired to be tired.

Racing in Class 1 and living in the states, though definitely a rare opportunity that no serious racer would complain about, has to be rough gig. Again, nothing to gripe about but definitely not as glamorous as it looks.

Good to have him back in the states ... and in the cockpit.

Racing and being "on the road" is never glamourous on the long run ... thats why I quit.
Still it's been only 1.5 yrs I'm off and still has the itch to jump back sometimes but not as much as needed IMO.

JT Excelled at everything, We rode Motocross together as teens. His coordination and throttle skills started showing back then. Seemed like every move was calculated and done with perfection, Just like his buisness and his Racing.
