Thank you, but I am sure that it would take several days to ship it from Fla to NY, he's basically looking for something now.

Try places that generaly not checked. Bunch of Pep boys got a shippment on Saturday. Some dollar stores have some cheepies and try Big Lots. Depands on what you needed for you might able to get a power converter and just use your car for small things. Most autostores, dept stores, Harbor Freight West Marine etc. should still have them.
