Oil Pushing Up Dip Stick Tube?
I got a blower engine and I was wondering if anyone else has a problem with oil pushing up and out the dip stick tube? It gets kinda messy once and a while when running it hard.. any ideas?

you have positive crank case pressure which is pushing the oil out. Have you done a leak test on this motor?
|
Its fairly fresh id say only 50-80 hrs on it.. does anyone else have this problem on a blower motor when you are running it hard??
|
I agree with Griswald. Do a leakdown. Sounds like to much CC pressure. Are your CC vents plugged or anything else?

Check your pcvs, if you have them, and/or your breathers to make sure they are clear. If they are, you have poor ring seal/blow by. I have 1st hand experience from a Procharged motor I had.
|
I mean the motor feels very strong.. if I had blow by shouldn't the motor feel weak? Or because of the blower you don't notice that much??

Would there be any signs of blackness on the back of the boat? Because the boat stays very clean around the exhaust tip area

Is there too much oil in the crank case? I believe if its overfilled, it can cause this condition too, due to aeration of the oil
|
I'd say you might have a hole in the piston if pcvs and breathers check ok.....or just your rings are gone, all because of running lean or not enough of ring gap in the piston rings while assembled IMO. It still might feel strong but not as strong as it should.
Fix it soon and save money and do a leakdown, immidiately. |
