The best we can piece together was the boat taking a double wave. We hit one and the second was very close behind propelling the the boats momentum up wards. As mentioned the water in LM was very hard and we were taking quite a beating. The wind was still blowing at 10+mph up the tunnel after the storm and we were directly into the wind. There may have been some kiting that pushed us to the starboard. the trip forward looked/felt like this. (pic) Ironically, we run a very similar drive and balance set up to these class-1 boats on Miss Geico.
Normally, we get "on top" and push the nose down with our power.. It just didn't seem like the right day to do it with the snotty conditions. Good or bad decision we just don't know until we get her out testing again to figure out what went wrong.
