I only read Reggies complaint of $75k due in unpaid consulting on a 50'. And the return of race trophies...a backhoe...oh and one silver eagle???!!!

Appears to be handwritten...typical good ole boy.

Opened Fountain's response but after 25MG and still not done I closed it. anyone have the cliff notes version???

scanned through most of it and from my limited perspective it does not paint a good picture of either party. based on Reggies view everything that Fountain powerboats has or is is all in his head and not proprietary which would not give me any faith in doing business with him. if anything happened to him then everything is lost and your investment with him is worth nothing. Liberty and its primaries have more than a few skeletons which deminish faith as well. based on what I picked up both parties have been involved in some misconduct and manipulation. IMO Reggie should have retired on top instead of letting his ego drag him down. and yes I do personnally know him and have for 35 plus years.

Right or wrong, good guy or bad guy. It's all just a childish pizzing contest that in my opinion that diminishes all parties involved as well as all of us that own these boats.

I wish the best to Liberty as I like these boats and would like to see the line continue, and to Reggie as he was responsible for the creation of these boats I like and honestly hope his new venture works out for him.

IMO this chit fest, with a little common sense applied, could be turned into a win win for all involved, but then WTF do I know.

I don't know about that!

If you read all the material provided in the post, it does seem odd that Liberty aquired Fountain Power Boats with the claim of infussing cash to improve the brand. If you believe anything that Reggie says in his latest counter, Liberty seems like a large monster here. Reminds me of the movie Wallstreet. After reading this I was of the opinion that Reggie got conned by these guys and is trying to right the ship. I mean it took him 2 days to counter a 100 page document. He knew exactly what he wanted to say and was just waiting for them to air out all the dirty laundry. IMO.

Good read non the less.

Wish we could get this kind of detailed infromation on the Cardshark thread!!!
