Best wax and buffer??
Just curious as to what everyone else feels is the best wax... or buffer to use on the boat, i just use the 3M wax with an old Milwaukee buffer, does a pretty good job, but that buffer is heavy, wouldn't mind if I only waxed my boat, but I am trying to wax some boats as a little side buisness. but thats another thread.....I assume there is something just as good that weighs less and maybe better wax?? I use nautical ease boat soap (best boat wash in my opinion, and they make wax, but i do not want to buy if there is better)

I like this product xxponet goes on easy and comes off the same and will last all season plus, I do it by hand, so i wouldnt think you would need much of a buffer to use with it.
The only problem with this product I see is, if your doing it to make a buck you wont be doing it more than once a year for customers, so it might be bad for business. http://xxponet.com/index.html |
B.B.-
If you look in the Fiberglass & Paint forum there are several threads on different waxes and which is best. I think the answer of which is the "best" wax isn't any closer to being solved than which came first the chicken or the egg. Also if you do any online advertising for your side business- make sure you include a link to this thread......:lolhit: |

Poorboy's Red wax. Not cheap but damn good stuff. Just make sure you use a microfiber applicator wether you're using a machine or hand to apply. Polish by hand, looks better and don't take any longer really.

I just used Meguiars Pure Wax and a Porter Cable 7424 buffer to do my boat. I don't know if this is a "best" wax but the results were exceptional. The nice part about the Porter Cable is that you can "one hand" it when doing the bottom of the hull. Light but effective.

Many good waxes in the market. I prefer Collinite.
