But I was referring purely to this upcoming weekend's pathetic outcome...It's a non-event. The fact that 2 boats were confirmed and that it's been canceled makes it pretty damned insignificant in my book.
So just about every race this season has been insignificant in your view. How many classes had 2 or fewer participants? wouldn't those classes be insignificant?

Thats not what he said. He said only two boats entered the WHOLE event. He didn't refer to two boats being in one class.
Big difference.

only the turbine class in opa, I recall.in sbi I bet more classes. the bimini race seems to have no problems getting boats to run there 120 mile race. do what they do and if you can get hotels to discount rooms have towing service for races BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT COVERED BY REGULAR BOAT INSURANCE TOO RACE your boat in any offshore race.they need better logistic one thing is GAS a lot of boats can't make it around non stop. so they need to make sure if a race boat come into port to gas up they don't have to wait for gas also where you can get 93oct. if I run next year Iwill put a big pulley on the blower and lower the boost to get any gas there noway I would need to run wfo so no need for the boost.well Ihope it gets better next yr can't wait for bimini race. Race....hit one of the propane tanks floating around 300k boat sinks goes to bottom. You lose

Regatta....Hit one of the propane tanks floating around 300k boat sinks and goes to the bottom.Insurance buys you a new boat

I do not have time to prepare for this so I would not be doing it anyway. But you would get more hardcore poker runners if it was not called a race.
