I'm so relieved to hear my hubby Mike Anderson, Nick and Chris made it in safely. They're all tough, experienced boaters but no one wants to encounter 10-12' seas, especially at night ! I'm sure there will be great stories !

One of the difficulties with these long distance offshore marathon's is changing weather and being able to capture a good weather window the full distance. We learned that with our crossing to Cancun and after waiting 3 weeks for a good window we just went for it even tho we knew we would encounter seas in the Yucatan Straits. Not an easy thing.
Congrats to Nick, Chris and Mike for the courage to attempt this. They are winners to me !

Yes.. kudos to the crew. Yuo have to have big kahunas to try something like this. Hats of to them making the right and safe call.
And also a big cyber hug, to the family, wifes and kids to the crew. It takes a lot of heart and trust for the girls and kids so we boys can play.
Glad to hear a happy ending and I thank for the support from their family.
We were going nuts, I hate to see what they been going through.

In addition to that, Bob, their average speed between those erratic points got VERY low. Glad they made it through the rough stuff!
