Sounds like they made the best call in the situation and glad they all made it back safely. Something tells me, this won't be the last attempt.

wow i was wondering about waves caused by all this weird weather the US has been having congrats on there trip and thank GOD that they were smart enough to know to head back.

While it would have been great to see the live video of their voyage, after hearing how truly horrendous the conditions became, I'm now glad that I couldn't see it. I would have been a complete basket case watching Mike, Nick and Chris going into those conditions !

As dark as it was, being it was so late into the night I doubt there will be any video of the severe conditions .

What made em chose late sept? I personally would think late june early july .

Longer daylight hours
Less storm activity
Calmer seas
