Props turn in or out

I am rigging a 38 top gun stepped hull with #6 drives .On a stepped hull what is better turning in or out? what does the 39 cig turn?

Everything is relative to the boat itself. Staggered boats will be different then your boat so you need to talk to guys with 38 'Guns. Generally you get more stern lift by turning the props in.

My friend built one. 03 38 TS TG, side by side 800hp. Wet sixes. He spins them out. Boat runs high 90s and handles very well.

Prop height has alot of say in this too.

Really depends on the prop specs, X dimension, and power.. Spinning in will promote more bow lift, spinning out will lift the stern. It is generally faster to spin them out but most v-bottoms like them in. On a side by side 38, I would start by spinning them in to carry the nose. Eric
