P.S. I think the alcantara steering wheels look like $hit.
It's a suede Sparco and it the best wheel I've ever had. It fits the boat perfect and is much more comfortable.

But what about using carbon in the "trim" type areas that dont wear directly?

Dont confuse Alcantara with suede or any other natural product.

Alcantara Steering wheels are all about grip in any conditions, which is why they are used almost exclusively in race cars, including F1...looks has nothing to do with it.

The new boats are whatever the customer wants. Carbon is long gone. The mixture of good looking vinyl, alcantara and or outdoor suede is in. The only carbon look which is nice is the carbon leather not the inexpensive stuff.

Looks has everything to do with it. Of course they feel great, but I still think they look like $hit.
