We looked at an Envision at the LOTO Boat Show in KC earlier this year. Liked the looks of the 29 Combo. Best of both worlds huge cockpit, an area to get out of the weather if need be (or for kids) and an open bow to boot. Eight people no problem. The dealer (Broken Arrow at LOTO) claimed he sold nearly 80% of their boats. I agree with you, lot a boat for not alot of power, dealer claimed the 6.2 would run 55, would like to see it. I think some of the older 29's actually put twin big blocks in them.

Traded in the Cobalt 27'?? Why not go for the Cobalt 360? Hehe.. I'm a closet Cobalt fan myself, but the prices are quite higher than Envision.

BTW-- Gold bezels would look sweet.

We strongly considered the new Cobalt 282. It's a distinctive design, but not a practical family boat. The Envision fits us just fine. They redesigned the bow area in our boat (8 inches wider) to provide more room in the pointy nose (Envision - The Other White Beak).

Cockpit seating anyone? (personally, I'd rather have another engine and fewer friends )
