Shipping from Orlando to Austin? Guesses?
Hey guys,
I may have an opportunity for a 32' boat in Orlando that looks great. If things go my way, I'd like to know what to expect for shipping costs. Can anyone guess what it would cost to get it out here? Thanks |
Probably about 3k unless you can find someone coming back west empty. Then probably closer to 2k.

Thanks The guy was AWESOME, he picked the time he'd be at our marina and even helped with some maiden voyage gremilins when we dropped her in the drink. Good luck with your purchase!!! See ya, Kelly |

Thanks for all the info guys!
The trailer purchase might be separate. I'm curious, do some of these guys have their own trailers so I could skip that purchase? Of course a good deal comes during a week I have zero time. I'm curious, would you guys buy a boat after asking a board member to take a peek and having a survey done? |

Personally I think a sight unseen purchase has many advantages over the normal "see it yourself and test drive" method where you might get emotionally attached. When you pay a professional for a survey and a seatrial you'll have an unbiased view of your potential choice of boats. My situation was very much like yours, I entered into a purchase contract based on vessel, powertrain, and seatrial surveys in the middle of winter 5 months before the lake thawed. In mid May when the lake thawed out the local Merc dealer did the motors and the surveyor examined and seatrialed the boat. He pointed out a major omission on my sellers part and helped me utilize this for a full refund of my deposit or a major discount on the sales price. The seller chose to discount the price to reflect the repair cost from the purchase. If you get a chance post some pic's of the boat your looking at. See ya, Kelly |
Uship.com
Looking at active listings on uship, little over a buck a mile if it's on your trailer. |
I used uship also $750 Pheonix to Houston. You can also choose to have someone bring it on there trailer also.

Just saw a lucky guy on uship, hauler needed a load back home and bid .50/mile... If it's on your own trailer and can be hauled by a diesel pickup.... you can get good deals. Just spend a little time looking at the feedback for the persons bidding to haul your boat... Good luck!

Thanks for all the feedback everyone, very helpful!
Can anyone recommend any Orlando area surveyors? |
