Default Looking for a place to stay in Grand Haven

We are looking for a place to stay in Grand Haven on Labor Day weekend. We've done a few searches and came up with a couple of possibilities. We will most likely have 12 adults a few young children and a 34' boat. We found a cool sounding place up the Grand River, but I'd have to pull my boat out at night and leave it across the steet at the ramp. Stern's Bayou. There is another place on Spring Lake (smith's Bayou) but it doesn't look as nice, but it has a big dock.

any other ideas?

Thanks
Mark

On spring lake -Make sure to find out the water depth at the dock before renting. In some places it can be shallow. Also if your boat has a radar arch find out if there are any bridges. And what are the clearences.

Payton call GrandIsle Marina its the best that I can think of they have a great pool, fuel docks, resturant, bar...all the good stuff!otherwise you can try Keenan in springLake but its quite a ride out to the big lake from there.....If you get lucky you may get into thr municipal in G.h and then your within walking distance of everything....

Payton, like I said earlier, take the Sterns Bayou place and leave the boat at one of the marinas. You will not get into Sterns (narrow channel, bridge) or Smiths (shallow all the way in, bass boats only in my opinion) safely, especially since you are not from the area. Like Dyno said, Grand Isle is a good place and the Muni is really convenient to town and the big lake. 5 minute idle to open water from there!!!!
