99% of the people I've met through boating have been great honest people and I'm sure these guys fall in that category. I have to say thanks to the moderators for keeping it classy. God speed gentleman...

This is a very sad day
R.I.P Bob. This is a very sad day, as I read through these post , I'm thinking back to driving down from Chicago to meet with him on a boat deal that he was contracting us (Thunder power boats) to build him a 37' cat, the marina was busy , Bob was down on the dock grilling burgers for who ever was there , and talking boats, from a small baja to blown flats. we are going to miss you Big Thunder!

Such a tragedy for the families of both men, our thoughts and prayers are with you as you cope with this horrible loss.
We try to say how safe modern race boats are today compared to the past, and that is undoubtedly true. Yet there are freak, rare occurrences like this that put what we view as safe in real perspective. Godspeed gentlemen, your memory will live on.

Wow. I don't know waht to say other than God bless them and grant their families peace. I absolutely LOVE offshore racing but this part of it has gotten all to familiar these past many years.
