I have a 1992 sea wolf in mint cond. it is a 28ft. offshore with twin 300hp Johnson motors the motors have 16 spark plugs and eight carbs.each with the name second effort on the heads ,does any one know or have any info. on these engines ? and what they would be worth ?

Second effort was an outboard engine company owned and run by Gary Gabrecht in central Florida.
Gary was the man behind the Mercury Racing team of the 70's and was the first partner with Reggie when they started Fountain Powerboats. He later ran Aronow Powerboats after Don was Killed. Plus he was a partner with Aronow in the development of an Unlimited race boat powered with Keith Black engines.
In short, the man knew his way around high performance frontwards and backwards. You have some very good engines...problem may be finding anyone who knows how to work on them or have parts for them

thanks for all the info guys ,I only had the boat out once on lake huron it ran pretty good at 65mph.with a 3ft.chop will try again next spring after the ice melts before I think of repowering thanks again .
