Starting in about september ,all the homeless from up north head down for the winter . Sad but true .
We have an area by the jail that they are supposed to stay at , but once they hit duval and learn to prey on good people like you , we are stuck with trhem till spring .
I love KW and am always sorry to hear such things .
Dee call 305- 296-7880 ( pawn shops )
294-2226
295-7757
294-8010 with youre #,s and ask them to keep an eye out .

I assume you filed a police report. If you find the equipment at a pawn shop call the police and they will seize it- the pawn shop will be out of the money they paid and may even help find the culprits.

What Kind of Measures Do Hotels Need to Take to Avoid Liability?

■Able to anticipate criminal acts: If the hotel should have been aware that it is in a high crime area or knows that many crimes occur on their property, then the hotel needs to take adequate steps to protect their guests. For example, installation of cameras or hiring security guards may be required.
■Failure to warn: At the very least, the hotel should provide you with a warning if it is located in a high crime area.
■Failure to properly maintain property: Sometimes criminals will break into rooms with faulty door locks or pry open easy access windows. Hotels are under a duty to ensure that these things and other items are properly maintained.
