It still has plenty of ZDDP for moderate HP roller lifter motors.

Guys!!!! Jim |
I am debating between the Mobil 1 15W-50, and the V-Twin 20W-50. So I called Mobil and asked about running the V-Twin 20W-50 in a automotive/marine engine. They strongly recommended against it. Anyone running the V-Twin oil in their boat engines? Any issues with it? Thanks.

The Mobil 1 V Twin oil has a high level of Zink (1600) ppm because an air cooled V Twin (typically a Harley) needs the added protection. Also the high zink levels are required for flat tappet lifters. The zink on the standard Mobil 1 15-50 is 1200 PPM.

All the zinc you will ever need, but you won't find this at normal retailers.

Changed to the Brad Penn and I am happy with it. It is also less expensive than the Mobil.

I wasn't sure how long it would be there when I saw it so I bought all they had on the shelf, which was only 8 jugs.
